Mirelle Borra ist eine Künstlerin und Filmemacherin, deren Arbeit mit bewegten Bildern sich damit beschäftigt, wie Repräsentation entsteht, verbreitet und hinterfragt wird. Mit einer präzisen Bildsprache und einem transnationalen Blickwinkel setzt sie soziale und politische Themen neu in Szene und hält jedes Projekt im Dialog mit seinem Kontext.
2017 gründete sie das 6x6 Project, eine Online-Plattform, die sich der Verbreitung von moving image von Künstler*innen und dem Aufbau eines Peer-to-Peer-Netzwerks widmet. Ihre Arbeiten wurden auf internationalen
Filmfestivals und Ausstellungen gezeigt. Geboren in den Niederlanden und geprägt von vielen Jahren in New York, lebt sie derzeit in Berlin.

Mirelle Borra is an artist-filmmaker whose moving-image practice examines how representation is produced, circulated, and contested. Using a precise visual language and a transnational lens, she reframes social and political topics and keeps each project in dialogue with its context. In 2017 she founded 6x6 Project, an online platform dedicated
to disseminating artists’ moving image works and growing a peer-to-peer network. Her work has been screened at international film festivals and exhibitions. Born in the Netherlands and shaped by many years in New York, she is currently based in Berlin.
