Mit „Salzburg rundum” reagierte Norbert Trummer auf das berühmte Rundgemälde der Stadt Salzburg von Johann Michael Sattler. Er zeichnete exakt von den damaligen Standpunkten auf der Festung Hohensalzburg über mehrere Monate aktuelle Bilder von Salzburg und entwickelte daraus einen Film. Trummers Arbeiten wurden 2016/17 im Panorama Museum des Salzburg Museums in Dialog zum Rundbild Sattlers gestellt, welches zwischen 1826 und 1829 entstanden ist.

With Salzburg Rundum, Norbert Trummer responded to Johann Michael Sattler’s famous panoramic painting of the city of Salzburg. Over several months he meticulously drew contemporary images of Salzburg from the original vantage points on Hohensalzburg Fortress and developed these drawings into a film. Trummer’s work was presented in 2016/17 at the Panorama Museum of the Salzburg Museum, where it was placed in dialogue with Sattler’s panoramic painting which was created between 1826 and 1829.
