Color Wheel (Part 2)

Die Videoserie "Color Wheel" reflektiert die Situation der Heimatlosen, die ihre Heimat als mobiles Heim im buchstäblichen Sinne des Wortes inszeniert - eine Art Puppenhaus, das sie auf Rädern hinter sich herzieht, mit Plastikfolie eng an ihren Körper bindet, wie ein Baby, das sie vor sich trägt, vor Angriffen schützen will. Schließlich wirft sie das symbolische Objekt auf den Boden, wo es in viele Teile zerbirst. Metapher eines Heims, zu dem sie ein ambivalentes Verhältnis hat, von dem sie sich lossagt, weil sie alleine da stehen will, und das doch immer wieder als Zuflucht dienen muss.

The video series “Color Wheel” reflects the situation of the homeless woman who stages her home as a mobile home in the literal sense of the word - a kind of doll's house that she pulls behind her on wheels tying it tightly to her body with plastic foil, like a baby she carries in front of her to protect it from attack. Finally, she throws the symbolic object onto the floor where it shatters into many pieces. A metaphor of a home to which she has an ambivalent relationship, from which she renounces because she wants to stand alone and yet which must always serve as a refuge.
