Superfici fonetiche

A pivotal change in Venturelli's poetics takes place with the work Superfici fonetiche (Phonetic Surfaces). Matter no longer needs a physical body as a pretext for movement. A silver, metallic, almost razor-sharp tongue, forcefully makes its way through the suburban cement jungle, which creates a full space around an unidentifiable running object. This transit vision has its raison d'etre in the estranging kinetic process that associates a mental landscape. Movement begins, slows down and dies among desolate modernist ruins. The transitoriness and insubstantial frailty of the performance silences everything around the silver strip, a dream-sequence projection of fluidity and lightness, which makes the architecture less rigid for a moment. Lightness is the negation of stability, the subversion of gravity, in every sens, through an aerial, suspended movement that aspires to the otherness of a parallel dimension.
