Am 20. Juli 1976 erreichte das erste Bild vom Mars die Erde. In derselben Nacht erloschen in Jujuy die Lichter der Zuckerfabrik Ledesma vollständig: 400 Menschen wurden vom Militär mit Unterstützung des Unternehmens verschleppt. Im Juni 2023, fast 47 Jahre nach dem „Ledesma-Blackout“, findet die erste Live-Übertragung vom Mars statt, während die Bevölkerung von Jujuy auf den Straßen gegen die Regierung protestiert.

On July 20, 1976, the first image of Mars reached Earth. That same night, in Jujuy, the lights of the Ledesma sugar mill went out completely: 400 people were kidnapped by the military with the support of the company. In June 2023, almost 47 years after the “Ledesma Blackout”, the first streaming from Mars takes place, while the people of Jujuy confront the government in the streets.
